Football Concessions

Our orchestra runs the visitors’ side concession stand at home varsity football games. Every year we make hundreds of dollars for the orchestra program, which helps to pay the expensive entry fees for festivals and competitions.

Every student and every parent who helps with concessions receives $30 credit for every game they work. The credit can be applied to the student’s costs for special orchestra events, such as solo and ensemble entry fees or orchestra travel. Unused credit carries over from year to year.

Before helping with football game concessions, you will need to complete an easy online food safety course to get a Food Handler’s Certificate.

  • Certification is required for all food handlers in all food service professions.
  • Costs about $10.
  • Takes about 30 to 60 minutes of your time.
  • Course must be approved by the Maricopa County Health Department. This is one that qualifies: Food Safety Certification Course.
  • Please keep a screenshot of your certificate of completion easily accessible on your cell phone when working concessions.
